
The 155th Oxford vs. Cambridge Boat Race takes place this Sunday. The origins of the race date back to 1829, when a Cambridge student sent the challenge to his old school friend at Oxford and thus the tradition was born.
The Boat Race has now become a major international sporting occasion drawing millions of viewers from around the world and 250,000 spectators to the banks of the River Thames.
