Here at Tedquarters, we’ve been trying our best to make being green, second nature. Well our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed; last week saw Ted Baker awarded a platinum award at the annual Green500 awards.
By enlisting of some of London’s largest and most prestigious organisations, Green500 aim to reduce the capital’s CO2 emissions and they’re mighty impressed with Ted.
In the past year our Green Team has filled our kitchen with fairtrade bananas, installed ways to monitor energy consumption in store, made significant steps towards waste reduction and launched our cycle to work scheme – to name just a few.
In fact, we just had a swap shop last week. Held at our local, Ted’s team were invited to swap any unwanted books, CDs and DVDs for somebody else’s. One man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure after all.

Popular among tourists and locals alike, this weekend marks the 180th anniversary of the opening of Covent Garden’s iconic Market Building – and they’re throwing a free two-day party to celebrate.
A hub of fashion, the arts, food and entertainment; it’s no surprise that Ted decided to open his first London store here way back in 1990.
With that in mind, we can’t help but get involved in this weekend’s celebrations – there’s art installations, birthday cake, ice sculptures, party games and of course street performers. Don’t forget to pop into Ted if you’re in the area.

New band, Sunbirds, were championed by Ted Baker at last month’s City Showcase Festival in London. Performing on our Regent Street Store’s revolving shop floor, the quartet overcame dizziness to dazzle our customers with a cracking performance.
Since then, they have been popping up here, there and everywhere. Check out their the glowing review they’ve had over at the Guardian. Looking good James, Ben, Dean and Dennis!
