It’s officially school holidays and kids across the country will be heading off for organised summer fun. Well tonight and tomorrow, the V&A are hosting their very own summer camp, for all you grown up kids to get in on the action.

Their inaugural summer camp offers the perfect chance to get your creative juices flowing; as you explore a host of different design processes with leading designers, artists and makers.

So get your pens and pencils at the ready, and visit the V&A website for full details of what’s going on

4Green500_Platinium-AwardHere at Tedquarters, we’ve been trying our best to make being green, second nature. Well our efforts haven’t gone unnoticed; last week saw Ted Baker awarded a platinum award at the annual Green500 awards.

By enlisting of some of London’s largest and most prestigious organisations, Green500 aim to reduce the capital’s CO2 emissions and they’re mighty impressed with Ted.

In the past year our Green Team has filled our kitchen with fairtrade bananas, installed ways to monitor energy consumption in store, made significant steps towards waste reduction and launched our cycle to work scheme – to name just a few.

In fact, we just had a swap shop last week. Held at our local, Ted’s team were invited to swap any unwanted books, CDs and DVDs for somebody else’s. One man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure after all.

Play hard to get

26 March, 2010 ·

Forget Jonathan Ross, how about a Friday night with Victoria and Albert – on the last Friday of every month the V&A is open late until 10pm.

Tonight the V&A have teamed up with Hide & Seek to bring you ‘Playgrounds’ with plenty of social games and playful experiences to keep you entertained all night, it’s all about exploring ‘the collision of art, theatre and game design’. Whilst you’re ‘exploring’, hopefully you’ll have some of fun too.
