Car boot-ique

28 September, 2010 ·

Last week Ted took part in the week long Car Boot Fair in Westfield’s London. Top designers took over the Atrium space in the shopping centre to sell from their car boots as well as pulling together for a series of fashion shows on Saturday and Sunday.

Of course Ted was there, and our car was full of prizes and giveaways. Here’s Natasa from Ted’s team with a ring courtesy of Miss Ballooniverse, but check out the list of our big winners below.

Wednesday

Gents could have won a Ted Baker suit, but lucky lady Louise Brinis (as pictured) won some Ted tailoring.

Thursday

John Durham was the lucky winner of a £250 shopping spree at our Pashion store.

Friday

The second £250 shopping spree winner, but at Ted’s Mainline store, was Kerry Clay.

Saturday

Les Jackson was the winner of a sleek leather bag.

Sunday

The grand prize winner of a £500 shopping spree at Ted and lunch at Tedquaters was Caroline Oldfield.

Congratulations everyone.

Last weekend, we were delighted to see the Mail On Sunday’s ‘You’ magazine devote its fashion pages to a showcase of some of our key pieces from our AW10 collection.

Shot on location on the runway of Menorca’s Royal Aero Space, the beautiful photography definitely got us all dreaming of our next weekend getaway…

If you missed them, not to worry – you can still see the images here.

Plus, we’ve also got our hands on some more exclusive, gorgeous shots – they couldn’t be squeezed into the magazine but we’ve made room for them here. Enjoy.

You can check out our lookbook now and don’t forget to sign up to our newsletter at Ted Baker to receive a weekly email highlighting the latest pieces of the season.

Ted baker bees

The sight and sound of bees drifting from flower to flower is a quintessential part of a summer’s day. Sadly, bees are very susceptible to a variety of diseases and environmental changes, and recently colonies have been dying out at an alarming rate.

When you consider that over a third of the crops we eat are pollinated by bees, and that they make an annual contribution to our economy of £165 million, Ted knew he had to help the plight of the bumblebee.

By installing 2 beehives on our roof, we hope to give the bee population chance to recuperate, whilst giving wildlife a boost as our bees pollinate local plants.

Our Buckfast bees arrived from a farm in Shropshire a few weeks ago and they immediately settled into their new abode. Our beekeeper comes in once a week to check they’re healthy, happy and of course to collect the honey that’s going down a treat at Tedquarters.

Flying high

18 June, 2010 ·

sunbirds

New band, Sunbirds, were championed by Ted Baker at last month’s City Showcase Festival in London. Performing on our Regent Street Store’s revolving shop floor, the quartet overcame dizziness to dazzle our customers with a cracking performance.

Since then, they have been popping up here, there and everywhere. Check out their the glowing review they’ve had over at the Guardian. Looking good James, Ben, Dean and Dennis!
