Ted’s mouth-watering Sweet Shoppe popped up in Heathrow Terminal 5 yesterday and looks good enough to eat.

Having opened last year in Selfridges London, Birmingham, Manchester Exchange and Manchester Trafford, the Sweet Shoppe houses a range of brightly-coloured women’s accessories, merchandised in rows like in a traditional sweet shop.

Alongside the SS12 womenswear accessory pieces there are some exclusive pieces not available in store and there will be ‘maxi’ bags available for two weeks at the T5 Sweet Shoppe before available at any other Ted store.

The pop-up will be open until April, but if you’re not jetting off any time soon be sure to visit Ted’s Sweet Shoppes in the following locations:

Ted’s full of bright ideas and his latest coloured denim collection is definitely one of his best. Chasing rainbows may seem like a far-fetched idea but Ted’s made it all possible with a stunning palette of coloured jeans to choose from. Demure fashionistas will plump for the sophisticated cobalt blue while girls with more than just a cheeky side will go crazy for Ted’s mouth-watering sunshine yellow.

All Ted’s jeans are skinny cut, for a sexy, flattering, comfortable fit, designed to make the very most of your figure, however you’re blessed. Wear with a colour-block top or one of Ted’s stunning printed scarves to create the perfect ensemble.

So what are you waiting for? Walk tall in bit of colour-pop denim today!

Ted and Bluewater launched ‘Print Genius’, a unique competition to find the next generation of print designers back in AW10. The competition asked students to submit print designs following a theme of the ‘Garden of England’, how the county of Kent is commonly known.

Searching for the best new innovative print designers, the career-building prize included the winning print being featured in Ted’s SS12 collection and an internship within the Ted Baker design department.

Molly Pryke from London College of Fashion won the womenswear prize, for her ‘Reflective Bloom’ print and Talia James from Ravensbourne College of Art, Design and Communication, won the menswear prize for her Fox print.

The Print Genius collections have now launched exclusively in Ted’s Bluewater store today before being available in stores next week. To celebrate there will be a customer event complete with ‘Garden of England’ drinks and refreshments in Ted’s Bluewater store this Thursday from 6pm. Be sure to get down and get your piece of tomorrow’s hottest design talent today!

Ted at ENK New York

3 February, 2012 ·

It’s that time of year again, where the fashion world hits the trade shows to find the best brands, products and trends for the upcoming season. Last week, Ted showcased his A/W 2012 menswear collection at NYC’s premier menswear trade show, ENK at the Tunnel.  The ENK NY Exhibition is  a semi-annual menswear tradeshow in Chelsea, NYC where the fashion cognoscenti gather to dive into the latest men’s fashion trends.

From trapper hats to boots, Ted’s wholesale team showed off a true Ted-to-toe lifestyle collection. Featuring modern classics made to appeal to stylish, independent, career-oriented men, who appreciate attention-to-detail and quality, Ted’s collection was a great success. The fashion marketplace was abuzz about Ted’s “country wear with an urban flair” look – beautiful English heritage crafted in a contemporary manner for the trendy, urban woodsmen from Los Angeles to 5th Avenue.

Among the best pieces of the collection were sweaters, outerwear and accessories of which WWD’s Men’s Week sang praises: “[…] sweaters have been among the British brand’s strongest categories. Also trending well were its tailored sport coats in Donegal tweed or velvet, some with gold linings adorned with moose and elk patterns. The motif was apt, as “urban woodsman” was the theme of the fall collection, as seen in fake-fur trapper hats, cable-knit cardigans, textured wool-cotton shirts and a peacoat with classic leather football buttons.” (WWD)
