Tomorrow sees the opening of French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot’s first solo exhibition in the UK, and we know you’ll be tweeting about this.
Trained as a musician and composer, Boursier-Mougenot takes inspiration from the rhythms of daily life to bring sound and visual art together in quite unexpected ways.
Housed at the Barbican, this installation takes the form of a giant walk-though aviary. Home to a flock of finches and furnished with electric guitars, cymbals and drums; as the birds go about their daily routine, they’ll create a dynamic, live soundscape.
