Here at Ted Baker head office, we have our very own Green Team to advise us on the best environmentally-friendly practice. On Friday 5th June, they organised a day of eco fun to encourage all of us to get involved with World Environment Day.
They held a competition, asking all of us to think of ways to reduce our carbon emissions. We already do all we can to recycle, reuse and reduce our waste as much as possible, but it was a great way to get everyone thinking about what else we could do to go one step further.
All of us got into the spirit of things by wearing something green on the day and our enthusiasm was rewarded with a mini potted plant to grow on our desks. We also had a lovely low carbon lunch in our staff restaurant – everything served up was sourced from local farms and suppliers. Swampy would be proud.
