The 2009 London Marathon was a huge success, with 35,000 runners, including nine octogenarians, giving their all for charity. Polly and Vik, our two volunteers from Ted Baker, put in a great performance and lived to tell the tale.
Polly exclaimed, ‘It was truly an amazing experience and I would like to pay special thanks to all that ate the cake, attended sales and wished us all the very best before and on the day, we felt very supported!’
She managed a fantastic time of 4 hours 21 minutes, while our colleague Vik came in just after at 5 hours 10 minutes. She told us, ‘I have to say the atmosphere was electric! The crowd was fantastic and it was so great that so many people went!’
If you’re in awe of this achievement and would like to sponsor them, you can still do so at their Justgiving pages: Polly Parsons and Victoria Aldred
