Selling like hotcakes

20 April, 2009 ·

Here at Ted Baker, we’re lucky enough to work with a team of kind souls. This year, we’ve been overwhelmed by the dedication and hard work of two staff members in particular. Polly Parsons and Victoria Aldred are training for the Flora London Marathon on 26th April, to raise money for the Whizz-Kidz charity.

They’ve also taken part in the Milton Keynes half marathon in preparation. This is no mean feat, but that’s just the start of it. They’ve been baking cakes every day for months to persuade the sugar-starved head office staff to part with their cash, in a bid to top their fundraising goals.

Whizz-Kidz is a charity that gives disabled children the chance to lead a more independent life, helping with their individual mobility needs and ensuring they get the right equipment, advice and training.

If you want to support the cause, visit their Justgiving pages: Polly Parsons and Victoria Aldred. Visit our blog next week to find out how they get on in the Marathon.

We would also like to thank the ‘sugar-starved head office staff’ that also helped with the baking..their endless support has been fantastic : )
