Saturday saw Team Bath’s last Blue Square Conference South match after a ten year period described by manager, Ged Roddy, as ‘an incredible journey’. The match against Bishop’s Stortford looked like it might end on a winning note, but a goal in stoppage time made it a 2-2 draw.
The team’s journey has come to an end because their progression to higher leagues has been blocked by the Conference. Their unique part-funded status means the team will have to stop playing in the professional leagues.
