Necks appeal

25 March, 2009 ·

Scarves are the ultimate masculine accessory and can be worn with any outfit. Whether you choose linen or silk, here are some ways they can be worn this season – all tried and tested on the catwalk.

Tie it around
Loosely wrap it around your neck for an updated neckerchief look. You can also make a tie to the side or simply tuck the excess into the twist.

Ascot Knot
Take one side of the scarf under and over the other, pulling them together downwards. Wear with an open jacket or high collar jacket for a smart look.

Slip knot
Double up the length of the scarf and place around your neck. Drag the ends through the loop. This looks good with short jackets for smart and casual outfits.

Bandit
Loop a long scarf around the front of your neck and tie it at the back. Bring the ends forward and tuck them into the side. A casual look to wear with t-shirts.

Fake tie knot
Place the scarf around your neck, and make a tie in one side. Slip the other end of the scarf through that knot to create a casual take on the traditional neck tie.
