The footprint of things to come

30 December, 2008 ·

The first part of our Green500 journey was an invite to a conference to learn about the dangers of greenwashing. Greenwashing is when companies make over-the-top claims about how they or their products help the environment.

Fortunately most consumers are becoming wiser to these claims and it is becoming harder for organisations to get away with little green lies. A good thing too.

We’ve always been upfront about how we conduct our business. Honesty and integrity have been bywords for Ted Baker since we began.

As such, we are happy to say we know we can do more in terms of our carbon footprint. That’s why we joined the Green500 and why we’re attending conferences like this one.

We’ll keep you updated on our progress; and you can rest assured, we won’t tell you any porkies, green or otherwise.
