While each of our stores is special, it appears that Ted Baker & Friends on Cheapside in the City of London might be a cut above even our sky high standards. In fact, the BCSC (British Council of Shopping Centres) just awarded it Shop Fit/Design of the Year at their prestigious Gold Awards.
It’s not just the store’s olde London décor that makes it special. As impressive as its street signs, flock of in flight pigeons and red telephone boxes are, it’s the array of services that the store offers that really sets it apart.
You see, by calling on some of our dearest friends, we’ve created a store like no other. For starters, with King of Shaves, we created a gentlemen’s barbers called Ted’s Grooming Room, which offers the finest in trims and wet shaves. With its Turkish barber specials, the Efe ‘Effect’ has to be experienced to be believed.
Then there’s Baker’s Butler – a concierge service provided by lifestyle management professionals, Cushion The Impact. With just one call from our red telephone box hotlines, you can get your dog walked or your granny’s birthday party arranged.
Finally, we come to the finishing touches. Firstly there’s the in-house tailor to keep things fitting just so. Then there’s Ted’s Shine and Dandy. A complimentary shoe and bag shine service that’s provided by Street Shine, an exciting new social enterprise that gives those who have experienced homelessness a chance to earn a regular income.
All in all, the store is the perfect one-stop-shop for busy business men and women. We’ve always liked to offer our customers that bit more and Ted Baker & Friends certainly does just that. Who knows what we might do next? Any thoughts on what services Ted Baker stores should provide?
