What are you doing this weekend? Well, we’ll be sitting in a cinema, bottoms glued to seats and popcorn in hand, eyes agape at The Great Gatsby, this year’s most hotly anticipated film release and inspirer of oh-so many wardrobe choices.
If you’ve ever considered a three-piece suit, now’s the time to indulge, because flambouyant colours and finishing touches are set to be all the rage. Think opulent details, rich fabrics and decadent prints; bring out your inner style rebel and choose colours over greys.
Fancy trying a collar bar? Go for it! Never had the occasion to work a bow tie? Why not now! It’s time to make an easy, gentlemanly style your own, hark back to a time of uproarious partying and social change. In short, to have as rollocking a good time as you can with your clothes on.
And if you’re of the fairer sex, prepare to have a lot of fun. The 20s were all about female empowerment, a move away from restrictive clothing and a dipped toe in the pool of freedom, opulence and downright enjoyment.
There’s a kind of relaxed richness about this season’s obsession with the past – clean lines and sumputous fabrics come to the fore, necklines are high, material flows and there’s just a hint of sparkle everywhere. Dress up your look with dark stained lips and beautifully waved, flapper-style hair – we’ve already started pinning our favourite looks over on Pinterest!
Have you tried out the 20s look yet? Tweet us a picture @Ted_Baker – we’d love to see!

Every Ted store is different, with so many specially-designed pieces and vintage artifacts with a story to tell, sometimes it’s an experience just to go down and look at the décor, never mind shopping the actual clothes!

Our brand new Kuwait store is no different – Ted pulled out all the stops to make this London-inspired shopping destination a feast for the eyes. Take in a Union Jack installation made from tiny London cabs, an old-style telephone covered in maps and traditional English front doors on the fitting rooms, fall for lamp posts inside and bookshelves on walls – if you’re anything like us, you’ll never want to leave.
If you can tear your eyes away from the sumptuous surroundings, you’ll notice Ted’s latest collections laid out for your delectation. From floral dresses and perfect city shorts to clean-line suiting and polo shirts for the chaps. Stop by and have a look, then let us know what you think in the comments!
If there are two things you’re guaranteed to be looking for when summer hits, it’s suitable footwear and good eats. And lucky for you, we’ve teamed up with Mr Hyde to bring you the opportunity to win both in one fell swoop.
You may have seen our Tastefully Ted video over on Youtube and marvelled at the lovely shoes, gasped at their style and wanted to cram as many into your wardrobe as possible. Well, now you can.
All you have to do is click here and fill out your details for your chance to win And that’s not all, there’s dinner for the winner and a friend at London restaurant STK, too. Because nobody should be hungry when they’re in posession of such sweet feet.

Picture the scene: it’s a drizzly Thursday evening on Regent Street in London and crowds of people are gathered outside a shop window, madly taking pictures, while onlookers on the top deck of a double-decker bus wave like maniacs (nice ones) at the world below. This is what happens when Ted teams up with Moss Bros on a luxurious new morning suit.

Tails of the UnexpecTed launched last week. Exclusively for hire at Moss Bros and modelled by England rugby stars Sam Tomkins, Garreth Carvell and Jon Wilkin, the suit is classic in its style, with peacock lining for a bit of a Ted Baker twist.
A crowd of style insiders gathered for Tea with Ted, from fine china cups, while the boys posed for the cameras, gave interviews and talked about how much they loved the suits they were wearing. Then it was off upstairs to the store window, where they sat to have tea together, complete with top hats and saucers – how terribly genteel!
Though we might not look it *cough*, today at Ted we’ve reached the ripe old age of 25! That’s 25 years of globe-trotting, print-making, fashion-toting brilliance, and we’re just about bursting at the seams to start the celebrations.
There are huge weekly prizes to be won this month, as well as your chance to win one of three trips-of-a-lifetime to some of Ted’s favourite and most far-flung destinations.
From humble beginnings as a gentleman’s tailor in Glasgow, Ted’s battled the naysayers and neerdoweels , fought against the bland and the boring and brought the world a unique take on fashion, season after season, for 25 whole years. We’ve been looking back through his global adventures and marvelling at what a time it’s been. Since the idea came to him while fishing (!) in England, Ted’s had a whirligig of a time. Parrot ambushes in the Amazon, a hat-eating giraffe in Tanzania, razor-sharp shaves in the back streets of Instanbul – there’s enough to fill a book!

And if you’re not content with an amazing trip abroad, you can enter our weekly Instagram competition as well. Simply snap yourself in your finest Ted, on your travels somewhere. Maybe you’re on your way somewhere glamorous, maybe it’s just the commute to work, we don’t care – just add #teds25years and @Ted_Baker and we’ll pick a winner each week!
Lose yourself in the Ted’s global travels and let us know which your favourite story is in the comments – we can’t decide!
